Every build is backed by our workmanship warranty — covering structural installation, fastener integrity, drainage execution, and any defect that is a result of our installation.

    We carry full general liability insurance and operate with proper licensing for every municipality we work in. Permits are pulled and inspections are passed — always.

    Every TimberTech installation is registered with the manufacturer at completion. Your warranty is filed and active — you don't have to track it yourself.

    Documentation at Handoff
    At the final walkthrough, you receive a full warranty package — product documentation, registration confirmations, and our workmanship warranty certificate.

Warranty Questions

Common questions
about coverage.

How do I register my TimberTech warranty?+
You don't have to. As an authorized TimberTech dealer, we register every installation directly with TimberTech on your behalf at project completion. You'll receive confirmation documentation at the final walkthrough.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my home?+
Yes. TimberTech warranties are fully transferable to a subsequent property owner. This can be a meaningful selling point when the time comes. Transfer procedures are outlined in the manufacturer warranty documentation we provide at handoff.
What voids the warranty?+
Common warranty exclusions include: improper cleaning (pressure washing at too-high PSI, harsh chemicals), physical damage from misuse, unauthorized modifications after the build, and structural changes made by another contractor. The full terms are provided at handoff and are also available at TimberTech.com.
What if I have a workmanship issue after the build?+
Email us directly at warranties@aceofdecksllc.com. We'll assess the issue, confirm whether it falls under workmanship warranty, and schedule a resolution. Workmanship warranty is valid for 1 year from the final walkthrough date.
Does the warranty cover weather damage?+
TimberTech composite and PVC products are engineered for outdoor exposure, including the Chicago climate. Normal weathering — minor color shift within manufacturer specs, surface micro-checking — is expected and not covered. Catastrophic weather events (storm damage, fallen debris) are typically covered by homeowner's insurance rather than product warranty. Structural failure due to a material or installation defect is covered.
Do louvered pergolas have specific care requirements?+
Yes. To maintain warranty coverage on louvered systems, periodic cleaning and inspection of the louvers, drainage channels, and motor are recommended. We provide care instructions at handoff. Annual inspection is advisable, especially before and after winter to clear debris from drainage channels.
